Position Summary:
The Industrial Electronics Technician will be involved with the installation, maintenance, and continual improvement of electrical equipment used in all aspects of automation, both electrical and electro-mechanical. The Industrial Electronics Technician is expected to work on every type of system from the simplest electrical systems using fuses and motors, to the most complex electronic systems using sophisticated electronic computer interface boards, motor drives, programmable logic controllers, HMI’s, hydraulic and pneumatic positioners, solid-state devices and robotics.

Day-to-Day Job Functions:
Troubleshoot and repair electronic and electro-mechanical problems (PLC, circuit boards, drives, high frequency heating equipment, etc.)

Read, understand, and be able to modify the PLC programs for all of the primary pieces of equipment.

Address robot troubleshooting and programming needs (Fanuc RJ2).

Develop appropriate technical contacts within our equipment supplier base.

Continue his/her education as new technology is introduced in the plant.

This position pays a competitive wage plus Safety & Housekeeping bonuses that can pay up to $600 per month. This position is currently scheduled for 47.5 hrs. per week with everything over 40 hours is paid at Time And A Half...

Requirements
Knowledge: Requires a strong knowledge in various types of motor drives, PLC programming, electronic and electrical circuit troubleshooting, and robotics.

Skills: Must be hands-on, self-motivated, and able to work as part of a team.

Experience: 5+ years of hands on experience in a manufacturing environment.

Education: A wide range of education (associates degree, EE, EET, etc.) will be considered depending on the combination of education and actual work experience.
